Buy shoes, Be happy.

Is it possible to be unhappy while shopping for shoes??? I think not. You could get fired, be stood up for a date, have a tooth pulled, trip and almost fall while dropping everything you are carrying in front of a room full of people...and shoes will make it all better. I adore the severe strappy-ness of current styles, like these four and a half stunners from Guess. This is the Credenza, and it comes in brown and beige as well. There is even a zipper on the back for some added visual detail.

And who doesn't need a purple suede heel for their ever growing shoe collection? Steve Madden makes some of the cutest affordable heels out there and if aren't down with purple you can get it in three other colors as well. But you really don't need another black pair, so live a little and your feet will be the center of attention all night.

I need a hot summer dress...

So, I love Rebecca Minkoff. I have been looking at her collections and I do not think there is a piece that I dislike. I especially adore her dresses, like this Stevie Strapless. I don't usually go for florals but the colors of this design looks more jungle than spring flowers and the cut and style is great for a night of drinks and partying. I would wear the hell out of this dress with some chunky gold jewerly and thick brown heels. Minkoff also has tops in this same design which is called "persimmon combo". Cute!

Day 1: Finding A Bikini.

For many women, the time of year
which is currently upon us is
somewhat traumatizing.
There are many reasons why summer
is particularly scary.
You spend forty-five minutes drying and straightening your hair and then immediately start frizzing on the walk to the car, all of your cute outfits are covered in sweat after 2 minutes outside, and your perfectly made-up face melts off without fail throughout the day. Yet the scariest part of summer for me is putting on a bathing suit. Don't get me wrong, I work out, I eat decently...but there is something about exposing everything but my breasts and part of my ass in front of a pool full of strangers that is slightly intimidating. Nevertheless, I am currently on the lookout for that perfect combo of style and comfort. This season, I am loving a few suits, especially this VS Twist-front bandeau bikini. The color would look awful on my skin tone, but it comes in black as well and the top is push-up, which is great for small chests! And right now is a great time to shop at Victoria's Secret, since almost every suit is on sale. PacSun also has some great suits, a lot of really colorful and fun options, yet a lot of their bottoms seem to run small, so you might have to go up a size. I like American Eagle as well, their swimsuits are really comfortable and they have cheap and cute basics. Although I already have more than enough bikinis, I just can't help but looking...and maybe purchasing as well!
